I want to thank NetGalley for giving me the chance to review this book. Tis the first time I used their audio and the audio was great lets you get through the books faster.

I was ok with this book. I liked the writing style and the book flowed well.  It just seemed a little long for me. I didn't know much about Mary Queen of Scotts so that was a plus. There was just a lot going on and I got lost and confused it might just be the audio book format and not the book itself. I did learn a few things.

Being of Royalty doesn't make your life easier in fact it can be dangerous. To many people want to have their hands in the fire and in control. I am glad the book had a happy ending with all the stuff that happened.

I am sorry this isn't a very good review because my mind is still processing the book and I don't want to tell much because of spoilers. It has a lot of facts and information.

I not only own this book but I was given the chance to review an e-arc of it through net galley.

I gave this book 4 stars. I wasn't sure I was going to like it but it read fast and it surprised me.

This book is about a high school girl who is from a divorced family and her brother moves back home from college for a year. Her brother is changing majors and their dad refuses to pay for this major changes so he has to move to go to work so he can save up money to finish out college. She has to give up her room and share with her mom and she isn't happy about that.

She is Muslin and finds she has an interest in a non muslin boy and her best friend tries to help her. She is still learning about herself and dealing with family issues.

She is also dealing with a situation that no teenager let alone a girl should have to do. This comes out near the beginning of the book so it isn't a spoiler but another friend has a boy cousin who tried to rape her but likely was stopped by her friend's mother unknowingly.

There is a lot of normal high school stuff going on and it brought back some memories for me.

I was lucky enough to receive this e-arc from NetGalley to read a nd review. I asked for a copy when I realized it was a Rick Riordan Present book. I have enjoyed reading books from his choices.

This book is based off Korean legends and it was fun and enjoyable to read.

Riley is a young girl who is adopted by a family who are witches from the healing clan. There are six clans in the area and each one have different abilities. She has no powers that she is aware of and feels left out because she wants so badly to have power. So her sister, Hattie, decides when she is given the freedom to work her powers by herself  that she will share her powers with her. That is when Riley finds out who she is and where she is from.

The adventures start there. She learns a lot about herself and what she is truly made of and what matters to her most.

I highly recommend that you read this book. There is a lot of Korean words which is easy to figure what they mean but also at the end of the book there is a glossary for you to reference if you need it. That was the only bad thing about having an e-arc is that I didn't realize there was one to use but as I said it was easy to figure out.
