2nd week of March reading

Only four books read for the second week of March. I have started the Michael Vey series by Richard Paul Evans. Again Aryan owns the entire series and has already read all seven books. I am slow and there are so many books that I want to read that it is hard to choose which ones to read. Now most books are in a series and I have to decide if I want to start another series. I did enjoy the first book and I am getting ready to read book two. I gave the first book which is The Prisoner of Cell 25 4 stars.  The next book I finished is the audiobook The Clockwork Angel. This is another series that I have been wanting to read but decided to listen to it instead when driving around on errands. I have to say that I am not impressed with this book. A lot of people say this series is better than the Mortal Instruments and I will have to disagree. I did give this book 3 stars. It starting picking up near the end of the book. I am hoping the next two books are better. Book number three I read was Into The Water by Paula Hawkins. I liked this book better than the Girl on the Train. Again some people didn't like this book or her other one. I have enjoyed both of her books. This one had more of a history background and I enjoyed it. I gave this book 4 stars. The last book I read this week was another graphic novel and I actually liked it. It was a memoir. It was a sequel of another book I read about a month or two ago. I would have to check to give you a proper time frame. I gave this one 4 stars also. It was a good reading week. I read a total of 1380 pages.
Until next time keep reading.

March's 1st week reading

The Boy on a Black Horse
This is the first book I finished for this week. I read it David it we liked it. We gave it 4 star's and would recommend you read it.

Talons of Power (Wings of Fire, Book 9)
This is the 9th book in the Wings of Fire Series. I have been listening to it as I work around the house. It was one of the better books so I gave it 4 stars.

Darkness of Dragons (Wings of Fire, Book 10)
This is the 10th book of the Wings of Fire series. So far it is the last book until book 11 comes out some time this spring. I didn't like this one as much as the last one so only gave it 3.5 stars.

American Queen (Volume 1)
This book I read on the kindle. I have been trying to read more books on my kindle but it is harder on my eyes and doesn't give me the same feel as a normal book does. It was an ok book so only gave it 3 stars. Beware when you read this book it has some unbelievable elements in it besides being very explicit in certain details.

Ever the Hunted (A Clash of Kingdoms Novel)
The last book I read for the first week of March. I enjoyed this book and had a lot of adventure in it. I enjoyed it because it was focused on a young lady instead of a young man. Yes there was a young man in this story but it was more about her. I gave this book 4 stars.

So I read 5 books which totaled 1170 pages. I have done better but as I told you earlier this is a busy month so not to bad.
Until next time keep reading.

March TBR

I am so late with this post. I did do a quick picture on Instagram and Facebook.
I have already read some of these books but decided to go ahead and do this post.
Umbrella Man By: Roald Dahl is another short book that I would like to get to this month,
I have enjoyed some of his work, I didn't like the other short story book of his that I read last month.
Dusk or Dark Or DAWN or DAY by Seanan McGuire and  another book by Seanan McGuire is Beneath the Sugar Sky this is the third book in the Wayward Children Series. I have already read the first two books and love this series. There will four or five more books to this series. I have done a review on the first book. The first book I mentioned by her is not part of the series. I want to finish the Wings of Fire series so I will be reading book 9 and 10. Book 11 comes out this spring. Book 9 is Talons of Power and book 10 is Darkness of Dragons both by Tui T. Sutherland ( I have finished these). The Essex Serpent By Sarah Perry. This book is for my book club by the library. I also want to start reading the Michael Vey series by Richard Paul Evans.  Aryan owns this series and has finished reading. I have been told it is a good series. ( Started book 1).
The last book is another Mary Higgins Clark book. Every Breath You Take she co wrote this with Alafair Burke. I like her writing and have read just about all of her books.
Hope this helps you find a book you will enjoy. Until next time keep reading.

February Barnes and Noble Haul

These are the books that I bought at Barnes and Noble in February. As you can see I really didn't do much book buying this month. The two books on the left are a series I think Aryan will like. He is hard to figure out he likes to read so I keep trying and sometimes I hit it right on and others oh well lets try again. The next book Shadowsong is the second book of a series. I haven't even had a chance to read the first book. The Nightingale I have heard a lot of great things about so I want to give it a try. It is a fat book but if it is good it will only take two days to read. Broken beautiful Hearts is a story about a soccer player who discovers her boyfriend secret and is falling down a flight stairs and her dreams maybe shattered. The Woman in the Window is a thriller that I can't wait to read. I don't like knowing what the book is about before I read it. The last book This Adventure ends is another book I heard about. They say this book is better than her book Foolish Hearts. I don't know because I haven't read either. Willing to give This Adventure Ends a try and if I like it I will try the other one.
I like to try different genres if other people recommend them and enjoyed them. Sometimes I agree and sometimes I don't. One never knows until they try.
Until next time keep reading.

Library Haul

This is going to be a different type of haul today. I am always going to the library and every time I go I usually pick up books. I have decided to show you some of the books that I picked up in February. Yes, I know it is March and I am behind, but I am slowly catching up.
Sorry you can't see some of the books very well. I will start from the back (the ones you can't see well).
The Seamstress is about the 2nd world war and it is about a seamstress who struggles to survive. She is not Jewish but from a large family. This is based on a true story.
Ever The Hunted and Ever The Brave is a duology about a girl who has powers and people are afraid of her and because of this fear don't like her and try to take her life and anyone else who shows power (magic).
I didn't get a chance to read The Hearts of Invisible Furies before I had to return it. It has won an award and I have read his book the Boy in the Stripped Pajamas and really like it.
The Clockwork Angel I am listening to in the car. I am not liking this book so far. I really liked her Mortal Instrument series, so I am kind of disappointed.
I already read Shadows in Flight this finished off the series. It talks about Bean children who has the same disease as he does. It was okay. Glad to be done with that series.
Girl in Pieces talks about mental health issues.
Darkfever is about faes in Ireland. Maybe I will like it. It is different for me. The only problem is that is a series with many books. Don't know if I want to start another series right now.
The last book is another graphic novel and I am not sure I will read this. It is the sequel to the one I read earlier in February.
The library always have so many books that I want to read so as normal I pick up more than I can possible read in the allowed time. Oh well.
Until next time keep reading.

Book of the Month February Box

I am a little behind on my posts. Trying to catch up. In the month of February I picked these books for my book of the month. The Great Alone By: Kristin Hannah. This book is about a return POW who is unable to hold a job so decides to move to Alaska and try living off the land. She wrote the book The Nightingale and everyone enjoys that book. I now have that book and this one and want to give both a try. The Broken Girls By; Simone St. James. This book is about a boarding school for unwanted girls. There are two time periods; 1950 and 2014. I can't wait to read this one because it is mystery and I love mysteries. The last book is An American Marriage By: Tayari Jones. This book is about a newlywed couple who live in the south. I never heard of this author and the book sounds interesting and want to give it a try. I only gave you a little bit of information that was on the dust jacket. I hope you give these books a try and I know I can't wait to read them.
Until next time keep reading.

last week of February reads

As promised I am posting my reads from the last week and a half of February.
Hillbilly Elegy was a 3.5 star book. I have a review up already for this book. This is my book club book for the library. The wonderful story of Henry Sugar and six more was okay. I gave it 3 stars. There were a total of seven stories. Darkstalker is another book from the Wing of Fire series but more of a stand alone. I gave it 4 stars. Okay I know I haven't read The Martian yet so why have I just finished Artemis. It is an audio book that I was listening to in the car. I hear The Martian is a great book and Artemis is an okay book from everyone who has read both. Well I will be reading The Martian soon and I sure hope so because I was not thrilled Artemis at all. I did give it 3 stars. I have finally finished a series. Shadows in Flight is the last book of the Ender Shadow series. This series is an off take of the Ender series. I am not to interested in Science fiction books but I did enjoy the first book of both series and wanted to give the rest of the books a chance. So the total pages for this reading session was 2035.
To some of the month I ended up reading 28 books which totaled 8289 pages. Yes that is a book a day. Well I be able to do the same in March most likely not. I have a busy month coming up.
Until next time keep reading.
