Book Review:
This is a translated book, and I gave it 4 stars. There are three stories in this volume, and they all are connected in some way. I gave this second book 4 stars. This book takes place around Christmas time.
In this book the full moon coffee shop is going to open more than usually. It is the holiday season and the owners thought it would be nice to be around more often and to help out some people that have requested help.
The first story is about a young who wants a puppy. Her mom isn't so sure because of her growing up with a hard to please father. They are now estranged from each other. But the little girl's dad also wants a puppy, so they end up getting one. They think it is great that the person putting on the adoption is dressed like a cat. Also, there is a coffee truck near the adoption place.
The second story is about the young girl's aunt who helped organized the adoption clinic. She wasn't able to attend so she sent a temporary worker in her place, her story is the last story.
What does they coffee shop have to do with the three individuals. Well, they serve them what they need the most and try to help them along the way to figure out what they truly want out of life.
I enjoy how the cats/people interact with each individual and how they don't judge the person while they figure things out.
There is a lot of talk about stars and that goes over my head a little, but it doesn't influence my reading enjoyment.
Do you need to read the first book to read this one? No, you don't have too. I wouldn't want to read them back-to-back because of the talk about stars, but I will continue the series as the books are translated.
