I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review. This is the ninth book in the Cackleberry Club Mystery series. I have read most of the series and have enjoyed them all. This is another book that I enjoyed reading. Suzanne who is the main character in the book solves cases mostly because her friends ask to do some investigating for them. She also somehow has connections to the murder vitamin or scene.

In this book she is taking dinner to her fiancé who is working at the ER for the night. While she is there the pharmacy is robbed and the security guy is killed and the receptionist is shot. No one who it is and she thinks quick and hits him with the thermos of hot chili and he escapes. She goes after him but he has disappeared into thin air. She doesn't see any vehicle lights or sounds.

This is how the book starts. It really gets you involved where you don't want to put the book down.

There is another robbery in the nearby town but luckily no one is killed. They think it is the same man but no one is for sure. Also there is a string a truck hijacks and they don't know if it the same person or some one else.

You get to go along with her and see what she finds and how she figures it out.

Are the cases combined or are they different? You will have to read the book to find out.

Also there are recipes at the end of book. Always a plus.

This is a cute little story. I did take a little to get into it because I really am not into ballet. I gave it 3 stars.

This is a story about a 17 year old girl who goes to Paris for a summer dance class that is about 6 weeks long. She has audition for this class and gets into level 4 out of 5. This is a tough school and puts her through the ropes but she is hoping at the end that is able to get into the ballet school in New York.

She is surprised when the main instructor decides she is better than her tape showed so she is moved up to the top level. He wants her to prove to him that he made the right decision.

She runs into a young man when she needs to get the proper the clothes for this level. They struck up a friendship and things go from there.

There are a lot of French words but it is translated so you know what is being said which is a good point since I don't know that language.

Mia and Louis ( the young lady and the boy she runs into) go on some adventures together and have fun and makes her wonder if she can have both.

Does she figure out what she wants? Does she get the school that she wants at the end? You will have to read the book to find out.

The Deepest Breath Book Review

The Deepest Breath

By: Meg Grehan

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

Ages 8-12 Grades 3-7

Publish Date February 16, 2021

This book is told in verse which makes it a quick read. I gave it 4 stars.

This book is about an eleven year old girl who is trying to figure out her feelings towards her friend. She isn't sure if the feelings she has is normal or if there is something wrong with her.

She has a hard time bringing this up to mom and she tries to figure it herself. She is a very smart young lady and thinks she can figure out by research.

This story takes you through her journey. It is a cute book and a little heart breaking but I highly recommend that you give it a read.

An ABC of Equality Review

An ABC of Equality

Written by: Chana Ginelle Ewing

Illustrated by: Paulina Morgan

I received this book from Amazon Vine to review. I am a member of Amazon Vine which means I can choose items to try and give a honest review. I choose this book because of its cover. It is a beautiful cover and the pictures inside are just as good. The illustrator did a fantastic job. This is an alphabet book as you can see and each letter has a meaning. The page before gives you an idea on what the next page will mention. It is fairly simple for the children but I would recommend that an adult be with them when they read it. It is more to today's way of thinking. It is cute and simple and I would recommend that you give it a try.

This is a very good book. I gave it 4 stars. This is a historical fiction on a true event but the characters are fictional. This is a story of the blizzard that happen on January 12, 1888. It is called the children's blizzard because of the many lives of children that were taken by this storm. This is only the second book I have about this event. The author did a great job telling about the day of the storm and what the aftermath was. She also goes into some detail about the days leading up to the storm. Please read this book and any other book you can find on this subject. It is an unheard of event that I only recently heard about. This is mostly about the immigrants who came to this country for a better life and they just didn't know what they were up against. The author tells about the people of color and what they went through and the tough discussion that the young female teachers had to make. Some made the right decision but some didn't not. There is a story of the one who made the right choice and one who did not. What would you do in this event? To be honest with you I wouldn't know what I would do. Put yourself in their shoes. I highly recommend that you read this book it will change your outlook.
