December Book of the Month Books

Here are the books that I chose from the Book of the month selections for the month of December. I have been with this company for about four years now and have neve been disappointed in the books. Here is my link if you want to give them a try and you can get your first book for $5.00.

Now unto the books.

This one was the monthly selection that I chose. Here is what the book says about the book.
A Powerful, vibrant novel about the life-changing weekend shared between two strangers.
On a rainy October night in Kentucky, recently divorced therapist Tallie Clark is on her way home from work when she spots a man precariously standing at the edge of a bridge. Without  a second thought, Tallie pulls over and jumps out out the car into the pouring rain. She convinces the man to join her for a cup of coffee, and he eventually agrees to come to her house, where he finally shares his name: Emmett.
Over the course of the emotionally charged weekend that follows, Tallie makes it her mission to provide a safe for Emmett, though she hesitates to confess that this is also her day job. What she doesn't realize is that Emmett isn't the only one who needs healing-and they both are harboring secrets.
Alternating between Tallie's and Emmett's perspectives as they inch closer to the truth o what brought Emmett to the bridge's edge-as well as the hard truths Tallie has been grappling with since her marriage ended-This Close to Okay is an uplifting, cathartic story about chance encounters, hope found in unlikly moments, and the subtle magic of human connection.
I heard about this book from some the booktubers I watch. I really don't know much about it but they made is sound good. This is what the book cover has to say.
There was and there was not, as all stories bein a princess cursed to be poisonous to the touch.
But for Soraya, who has lived her life hidden away, apart from her family, safe only in her gardens, it's not just a story.
As the day of her twin brother's wedding approaches, Soraya must decide if she's willing to step outside the shadows for the first time. Below in the dungeon is a demon who holds the knowledge she craves, the answer to her freedom. Above is a young man who isn't afraid of her, whose eyes linger not wi fear but with an understanding of who she is beneath the poison.
Soraya thought she knew her place in the world, but when her choices lead to consequences she never imagined, she begins to question who she is and who she is becoming...human or demon. Princess or monster.

This book I heard about from booksandlala, which is a booktuber from Canada. The author of this book also wrote the book The Perfect Mother which I also own but haven't read yet. This is what the cover has to say about the book.

A handsome psychotherapist his lonely wife. And in his home office, a ceiling vent...

You'd listen too, wouldn't you?

Newlyweds Sam Staler and Annie Potter are head over heels, and excited to say good-bye to New York and start a lif together in Sam's sleepy hometown upstate. Or, it turns out, a life where Annie spends most of her time alone while Same, her therapist husband, works long hours in his office, tending to the egos of his (mostly female) clientele.

Little does Sam know that through a vent in the ceiling, every word of his sessions can be heard from the room upstairs. The pharmacist's wife, contemplating a divorce. The well-known painter whose boyfriend doesn't satisfy her in bed. Who could resist eavesdropping? Everything is fine until the French girl in the green Mini Cooper shows up, and Sam disappears into thin air, throwing a wrench into Sam and Annie's happily ever after.

Showcasing Molloy's deft ability to subvert norms and culminating in the kind of stunning twist that is becoming her trademark, Goodnight Beautiful is a thrilling tale of domestic suspense that not only questions assumptions but defies expectations.

I hope you think about giving Book of the Month a try. You will receive a new release hardback book for a low price and can add up to two books for an additional price of $9.99 each. You can't beat that price.

Until next time keep reading.
