I have read this book for a honest review. I know this book has already come out. I am a little behind on some of my e-arcs. I gave this book 3 stars. I have not one of his books before and it was okay but not one of favorite mysteries. It didn't help that this book is the third in a series even though you really didn't have to read the other two books to figure out what was going on. What really bothered me about this book was all the characters in the story. There were way too many to keep track of. There were flash backs also that weren't separated out by a different font so it did take me awhile to figure this out. After all is said and done this was a good story and kept me wondering and excited to figure out if he would get his guy. I also didn't like how you aren't told who was the police leak, maybe we aren't to know yet who knows.
The story is about a guy named Pono who goes to Paris because his old buddy Mack calls him to tell him that an old enemy is a live that they thought was died. When Pono gets to Paris his buddy is kidnapped and later so is his buddy's wife.
He spends the next two weeks trying to find his buddy and wife and the old enemy. He runs into problems because of a possible police leak. He also falls in love with a fellow comrade who has two children and whose husband was killed.  I would recommend this book if you read the first two books so you can get to know the main character better and not be slightly lost in his life.
