This is a cute graphic novel that you should read around Halloween time. I gave it 4 stars. This is about two young ladies one who is a witch and the other one a werewolf. There is a demon in the area and they are trying to get rid of it. You are thrown in right away with a little back ground about their past. This novel has a great family atmosphere and you can read it in a day. There is also female/female romance in this book.  I would recommend this book it is a fun read.

I really enjoyed this book. At first I wasn't to sure about it because I don't speak Italian and I wasn't able to understand what was going on at the beginning but the author got better with letting us know what was being said. This is a mystery with magical elements. I don't see it as being sci-fi but more of a fantasy mystery.  I really haven't read a book like this before and found it enjoyable. It did take me a while to read not because it was bad just that I was busy. This is the first book in a series.
This book is about a woman named Penelope who is a historian who loves the story of Atlantis and has discovered a piece of a tablet. She has had bad luck because of Alexus who has blocked her progress with a grant because he is protecting the knowledge of Atlantis and the people. She ends up going to Italy because of a couple of murders that are very strange and she is helping the police. She finally meets up with Alexus and they have some interesting adventures as they try to solve the murders. I would highly recommend this book if you are into both fantasy and mysteries.

Reindeer Readathon TBR

Yes here is another TBR for the month of December. Luckily for me it is a month long. You might notice two of the books already because I am reading them in another readathon. Doubling up where I can. Unfortunately you can't double up on prompts for this readathon. That is ok because it is a month long and you only have to read nine books. I average about 13-15 books a month. I will also link the announcement down below.
Basically you have nine prompts named after each of Santa's Reindeer. You read one book per prompt. You register which will be in the announcement and then you are put into one of four teams. I am on team Mistletoe. Each prompt is worth points that you can earn for your team. Now for the prompts.
Dasher -15 points: A fast read (book under 250 pages) I will be reading In An Absent Dream By: Seanan McGuire
Dancer -20 points: A book that has a main them of music or dance. I will be reading Let It Snow By: John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle
Prancer - 25 points: A book that has moved around on your shelf but you still haven't read yet. I will be reading Penny Pinchin' Mama By: Jill Cooper. Side note all of these books would count.
Vixen - 20 points: A book with a strong female character I will be reading Sting By: Sandra Brown
Comet - 20 points: A book that you think will have an impact on you (an alternative option is a sci-fi read) I will be reading Skyward By: Brandon Sanderson.
Cupid - 15 points: A book that has romance as its main theme. I choose On the Fence By: Kasie West
Donner - 15 points: A book that you think has a beautiful cover. That book is 10 Blind Dates By: Ashley Elston
Blitzen - 5 points: Read a graphic novel. I will be reading Heart Stopper Volume 1 By: Alice Oseman
Rudolph - 20 points: Read a book with a red cover. I will be reading Vicious By: V E Schwab
Bonus - 15 extra points: Christmas Star: Read a book over 500 pages. I will be reading the book from the Comet prompt because that one is 510 pages and that book is Skyward By: Brandon Sanderson.

This readathon sounds like fun and I can't wait to read these books that have been on shelves for a while.
Here is the video announcing the readathon.

Let me know if you are doing this readathon and what team you end up on. Let's have fun with this.
Until next time keep reading.

The Bookie Trials: Winter Quest TBR

I know it has been a long while since I have written a post but I am back and with my first of many readathon TBR's. This readathon is called The Bookie Trials: Winter Quest and it takes place from December 2nd through December 9th. I will add the announcement down below because Rachel explains it better than I will. I will only be reading two books for this readathon but they cover all the prompts. Rachel says the less the better. I was hoping to find a book that would cover all the prompts but I couldn't. There are eleven trials you have to go through to save your daemon. My daemon is down below and I will declare him shortly. So onto the trial prompts which I will be brief .
The Queen's Armanda: Buddy read a book and that is Vicious By: VE Schwab
Orc Eaves: LGBTQIAP+ book and again that is Vicious
The Beacon of Hope: A Warm Drink while reading both books can work for this
Serpentine Allegiance: Recommended book by a booktuber or blogger and again that will be Vicious
Rural Haven: Author I 5 stared before and that will be Sting By: Sandra Brown
Eastern Escape: Read a book by a marginalized author and again both books will work
Graves End: Contains death/theme of death and again both books work
Glacial Pass: White book and I will read Sting
Desolate Ruins: Free, Own, or Library and both books will work
Daemonic Residue: book with one or more animals or magical beasts and Vicious will be my book
The Dark Shard: morally gray character or villainous main character and again Vicious will be my book. I am hoping I will be able to get these books read in the seven days. I haven't been doing great on my TBR's or readathons so here is hoping. Oh just to let you I am a Scribe in the trials.
Now for my daemon. Isn't he cute but he has been kidnapped in the trials so I need to rescue and the books above should help me recover him. His name is Zeke and he is a Malauhaua. I am hoping to rescue him and bringing him home.
here is the YouTube video about this readathon

Let me know what you are reading if you are joining on this quest. What is your daemon.
Until next time keep reading.

I gave this book 3.5 stars. It wasn't a bad book and not that hard to read. It is a fairly short just over 200 pages. What I like about this book is it is more of memoir of her struggles with her feelings towards the Mormon church and how she couldn't support the beliefs against her college boyfriend. She went into great details about her struggles. This book has a lot of religious talk and it was okay but not something I really enjoying reading.
I am a Latter Day Saint and was able to relate to some of her issues even though she had some of the facts wrong again this read more like a memoir so I won't fault her for that because this is how she felt.
I somewhat enjoyed reading about how she handle things but then again she used a lot of scriptures in her writing.
I am sorry her family had a hard time excepting her leaving the church. I myself have children who have left the church but I treat them just the same because they are adults and have their life to live.
I am glad that they slowly came around but that she still feels isolated somewhat.
Would I recommend this book maybe depending on how you feel about religion. Again I gave it 3.5 stars so it wasn't bad but wasn't really for me.

September 23rd to September 30th Reads

This is what I read the last week of September. Not a whole lot only four books. At the bottom I will give a quick overall review for the month. I read most of the Anne Frank graphic novel at work one day while sitting at the front desk. It was a slow day. I saw it on the shelf and since I didn't know I was to maintain the desk when I went into work I grab this off the shelf and started reading it. I had to bring it home to finish. It is a graphic novel based off her diary that she wrote while she was in hiding. It has been a long time since I read the diary that I forgot some of things she wrote about. It is a fast read and for a child would be fun to see the art work along with her words. I gave it 4 stars. I really didn't like the art work. The next book I listened to on audio and that is Around the World in 80 days. I needed something to listened to while I was working around the house. I haven't read this book before so decided to give it a listened. It isn't a very long book but fun to listened to his adventures. I gave it 3 stars.
This is a book that I received from NetGalley for review. I just posted a review  yesterday so go check it out.
This is a historical fiction about the Romanovs. I enjoyed this book. I also listened to this on audio. I gave it 4 stars. I would highly recommend that you read this book if you are into history and want to know what happen to this family.
For this week I read a total of 1,081 pages. I had a good star rating with  three 4 stars and one 3 star. Two books were by female authors and two books by male authors.

For a recap of all of September I read a total of 20 books which totaled 6,626 pages. 11 books were by female authors, 7 by male authors and 2 by a husband and wife team.
7 books were on audio, 11 were physical books and 2 were e-books.
My star ratings were six 3 stars, one 3.5 stars, eight 4 stars, two 4.5 stars, and three 5 stars.
I read three memoirs, three young adult fantasy, six non-fiction, one romance, one horror, two middle grade, two graphic novels, and one classic.
As you look back at my TBR you will realize that I didn't read everything on my list and somethings weren't on the list. I tried to stick to the list but I just didn't feel it on some of the books. I will get them eventually. I am also close to finishing some of them so you will see them soon.
Until next time keep reading.

This was a fun and quick read. I gave this book 4 stars. It isn't one of her best stories but still enjoyable.
This is the third book in this trilogy about three girls who have some problems with their families.
Beverly rans away from home after she buries her dog Buddy under the orange trees. She gets herself a job bussing table in a small town café. She befriends an older lonely woman and stays with her for the summer. It tells about her adventures and how she feels and the people who come into her life during the summer. I haven't read the first book in the series but did read the second about Louisiana (in fact I have a review up for this book). It is a cute story and one you should read if you have read the other books in this series. I will be reading the first book now that I have read these two so I can have the full picture of these three friends.

September 16-22 reads

I did really well on my reading this week. I finished 9 books. Three of them were audio books. 1 was an e-book and the rest were physical reads. I was so close to being done with a few of them from the week before though.  The book shown above I gave 5 stars to and it was the e-book I read. I have a review up for this one.
The Darkest Part of the Forest by: Holly Black was an audio book. I gave it 3 stars. It is one of her fairy books, just before  The Cruel Prince. Eliza is another church history book about the second Relief Society President. I gave it 4 stars. I learned about her. I enjoyed it. This was a physical book. Messages in Stone is the book a friend loaned to me. I gave it 3 stars. It is about the formation of the state of Colorado. There is a lot of science in this book. It was interesting but to much science language. This was a physical book. The Witch Boy is a middle grade graphic novel and I gave it 4 stars. It was a quick and fun read. This was a physical book. The Day the Women Got to Vote is another middle grade book and I gave it 5 stars. I just love history and this was about women and the struggles we had to deal with to have some rights in our country. It was a quick and easy book to read. There are a lot of pictures that were fun to look at. This was a physical book. Leaves from my Journal by: Wilford Woodruff is another church history book and I gave it 4 stars. It was in diary form and the he chose just a few entries from his massive collection. This was a physical book.
This was an audio book. This is the second book in her Red Queen series. I gave it 3 stars. I am hoping the rest of series gets better.
This was an audio book. This book is way to long. I gave it 3 stars. I will not be watching the movie. I am confused about this book and who it is. In the movie he is betrayed as a clown but the book doesn't say who he is in my opinion.

I read 4 books by female authors, 4 books by male authors and 1 book by a husband/wife.
I read 3 middle grade books, 2 young adult books, and 4 adult books. I read a total of 2,521 pages.
Until next time keep reading.

This is a great and quick read. Your school age children will love this book. This book is set during the depression. It is about the work groups that FDR set up for people to work to get back up on their feet. This story is about a group of black men who are in the work company called the CCC. They are to put out fires in the areas. The young man Joseph is a shoeshine boy and he befriends one of the workers and helps him train pigeons. The pigeons are a new project they working on. For a short book there is a lot going on but it keeps your interest. I would highly recommend that you give this book a read.

September 24th most anticipated new releases

Only four books that I am looking forward to coming out on this date. This first one is a sequel to another Rick Riordan series. This is the fourth book. I have read the first three to David, but now that he is in High School he doesn't want mon to read to him anymore, so I will have to read it on my own. Here is a quick synopsis of the book. It's not easy being Apollo, especially when you've been turned into a human and banished from Olympus. On his path to restoring five ancient oracles and reclaiming his godly powers, Apollo (aka Lester Papadopoulos) has faced both triumphs and tragedies. Now his journey takes him to Camp Jupiter in the San Francisco Bay Area, where the Roman demigods are preparing for a desperate last stand against the evil Triumvirate of Roman emperors. Hazel, Reyna, Frank, Tyson, Ella, and many other old friends will need Apollo's aid to survive the onslaught. Unfortunately, the answer to their salvation lies in the forgotten tomb of a Roman ruler...someone even worse than the emperors Apollo has already faced.
I am not sure if I will read this book because I really wasn't into Carry On but wanted to add it just in case. This is the sequel to Carry On. Simon Snow is back and he's coming to America.
The story is supposed to be over.
Simon Snow did everything he was supposed to do. He beat the villain. He won the war. He even fell in love. Now comes the good part, right? Now comes the happily ever after...
So why can't Simon Snow gt off the couch?
What he needs. according to best friend, is a change of scenery. He just needs to see himself in a new light.
That's how Simon and Penny and Baz end up in a vintage convertible, tearing across the American West. They find trouble, of course. (Dragons, vampires, skunk-headed things with shotguns.) And they get lost. They get so lost, they start to wonder whether they ever knew where they were headed in the first place.

I am so glad that I do have an e-arc of this book and if it is good I will most likely buy a finished copy for my shelves.
He was a hero of the Revolution, a brilliant politician, lawyer, and very nearly president, a skillful survivor in a raw new country filled with constantly shifting loyalties. Today Aaron Burr is remembered more for the fatal duel that killed rival Alexander Hamilton. But long before that single shot destroyed Burr's political career, there were other dark whispers about him: that he was untrustworthy, a libertine, a man unafraid of claiming whatever he believed should be his.
Sold into slavery as a child in India, Mary Emmons was brought to an America torn by war. Toughened by the experiences of her young life, Mary is intelligent, resourceful, and strong. She quickly gains the trust of her new mistress, Theodosia Prevost, and becomes indispensable in a complicated household filled with intrigue-especially when the now-widowed Theodosia marries Colonel Aaron Burr. As Theodosia sickens with the fatal disease that will finally kill her, Mary and Burr are drawn together into a private world of power and passion, and a secret, tangled union that would have shocked the nation.
I have heard a lot about this book. Most of it has been not so good but I usually don't lit that bother me.
Simmering in Patagonian myth, The Tenth Girl is a gothic psychological thriller with a haunting twist.
At the very southern tip of South America looms an isolated finishing school. Legend has it that the land will curse those who settle there. But for Mavi-a bold Buenos Aires native fleeing the military regime that took her mother-it offers an escape to a new life as a young teacher to Argentina's elite girls.
Mavi tries to embrace the strangeness of the imposing house-despite warnings not to roam at night, threats from an enigmatic young man, and rumors of mysterious Others. But one of Mavi's ten students is missing, and when students and teachers alike begin to behave as if possessed, the forces haunting this unholy cliff will no longer be ignored...and one of these spirits holds a secret that could unravel Mavi's existence.
Doesn't this book sound like a prefect read for the up coming month.
Well, I hope you like the books I am interested in and want to pick them up in either the stores or at the library and read them. Maybe we can do a buddy read.
Until next time keep reading.

September 9-15 Reads

This was not a very good week on finishing books. I am almost done with a couple of books. This is the first book I was able to finish this week. I do have a review up for this book. I gave it 4.5 stars. It is a romance book and I was received this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
The last book I was able to finish this week was Pachinko by: Min Jin Lee. I started this book in August. I am not sure how to classify this book. I am going to put it as a historical fiction. I did enjoy this book and I gave it 3.5 stars. You are following a family of Koreans who live in Japan. It starts out with a son who has facial deformities and his parents arrange a marriage to girl who's father is in need to place his daughters. This marriage only produces one child. his child is a daughter who helps her family and then the story goes onto her life. Her life isn't easy for her or any Korean who is living in Japan. She gets involved with a married man (whom she doesn't know is married) and ends up pregnant. She can't marry the father of her baby but a stranger offers to marry her to help save the family from being shunned against. This marriage produces another child. Her husband is a preacher for a Christian faith and is eventually put into prison for several years. He is only released so he can die at home.   Now she is a widow who is living with brother-in-law and his wife. Money is scarce and they have to figure out a way to live. The story continues on wit the lives of the two boys. There is a lot going on with this story. It was a good read but a lot of information and slow in some parts. I would recommend that you read it though. I did learn somethings that I didn't know.
So I only read a total of 879 pages. Both books were by female authors.
I am hoping to do better this coming week. Until next time keep reading.

September 1-8 Reads

I know I am late again. These are the books I have read for the first week of September.  I had a pretty good reading week. My lowest rating was a 3 stars and that is still a good book. Now onto the books. The first book I finished was Educated by: Tara Westover. This is a memoir about her growing up in a little town in Idaho. She had an interesting life and she tells how she was able to overcome it. She is still alive and lives in England with her boyfriend. This book I read for a book club I am a member of and I gave it 4.5 stars. I had an issue with way it wasn't written and it took me awhile to get use to it. The second is pictured down below so I will talk about it later. The third book was House of Salt and Sorrows By: Erin A. Craig. I buddy read this book with my daughter Tara. This is a young adult fantasy novel. I gave it 4 stars. I enjoyed this book. It had some scary parts to it and some confusing parts where I had to go back and reread some parts to make sense of it. I liked her writing and the story line. The story is about a family with twelve daughters and half of them have died for some reasons and the surrounding area think the family is cursed. One of the daughters is determined that her sisters are being murder and sets out to find why and who is doing this to her family.  I do recommend that you give this book a try. The fourth book was The Glory and the Dream: A Narrative History of America 1932-1972 Volume 1 by: William Manchester. I gave this book 3 stars. I have been reading this book since May. It is a nonfiction/history book. This book starts just FDR becomes President and stops while Eisenhower is President. It goes into great detail about what was going on in the world during 1932-1954. I will pick up the sequel in a couple of months. I have to give myself break because there is a lot of political stuff going on in this book and I know the next one will be the same way. Not a bad book just a lot of detail about the issues and yes I did learn somethings.
The last book I read is Emma by: Keith and Ann Terry. I gave this book 4.5 stars and it is a nonfiction/biography book. This book is about Emma Smith the wife of Joseph Smith, who was the 1st President/Prophet of the Mormon church, which is known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I already know about her life and the struggles she went through as being a wife of a prophet of a new religion. I did learn a little more about her life after the death of her husband. I enjoyed reading this book and if you can find a copy I would recommend that you read it. It is a short book so a quick read.
This is the second book that I read this week. It is also the only audio book for the week. I was able to read a lot of books physically this week for a change. I really enjoyed this book. Michelle narrated this book and so you can tell it meant a lot to her. This book is about her life up and through the white house years. It was nice to get to know her better and what was going through her mind at times. I gave this book 5 stars and would highly recommend that you read/listen to this book.

As you can see I read 5 books this past week and they were all fairly good reads. I read 2,145 pages, 3 books were by female authors, 1 by a male author and 1 by a husband/wife team. I hope you give these book a try and let me know if you have read any of them you let me know what you think.
Until next time keep reading.

This is an e-book I received from NetGalley to give my honest review. I really enjoyed reading this book and gave it 4.5 stars. Why not 5 stars well I have a hard time with love at first sight or love with in a week of meeting stories. They are a little too unrealistic for me. Otherwise this was a great read and quick.
This story is about a young lady who has inherited a bookstore from her deceased parents and she is struggling.
There is a corporation who helps with dying little towns by buying up surrounding homes and business and installing a resort to generate business for the area.
This corporation has bought up surrounding businesses in Herring Cove and are trying to buy this young lady out but she refuses to sale. It isn't only a business for her but also her home and memories.
The story goes on to describe how she makes the little come together and get the young man who came to visit her about the sale of her store to think about what actually happens to the little towns that they have put resorts in. It is a cute story and gives you cause to think about the little dying towns we have around us.
I would recommend that you read this book.

September TBR

Ok, I have decided for the month of September to make a TBR (To Be Read) post. There are eleven books shown here and I normally read more but I want to give myself some room to chose at random also. Most of the books I know little about going into them. So onto the books I have chosen. Lock Every Door by: Riley Sager is a mystery book and I have read his other books and really liked them so I can't wait to read this new one. House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin Craig I am buddy reading this with my oldest daughter Tara. As of this post I have finished it and gave it 4 stars. More on this one in a later post. We Hunt The Flame by: Hafsah Faizal. I know nothing about it except it is a young adult fantasy I think. I have heard some good and bad things about this book, but I want to find out for myself. I try not to have other people influence me on a book.
These book are the ones I read only a little each day. Message in Stone is a book that a friend has loaned to me and I want to get this read and returned back to her. It is about the rock formations in the state of Colorado. Emma is a book about Joseph Smith's wife. I have finished this one also and gave it 4 stars. Leaves From My Journal is by Wilford Woodruff. These are chosen passages from his journal. So far it is mostly about his missionary work.
Vienna Prelude is another book a different has loaned to me. She wanted me to read this and see what I thought about it. It is a first in a series. The two books by Julia Alvarez are the books for Pueblo Read month. Before We Were Free is a middle-grade book.
This book is one of a couple I would like to get read this month because they are e-arcs from net galley. I am happy that they are letting me read them to give my honest review on. I am about 70% through this book and really liking it.
You should not be surprised to see this book. This is the last book in the Nevernight Series. I just started this book last night. I am enjoying it so far. This is fantasy book.
I know I haven't told you too much about the books but as I said earlier I don't want to know too much before I read the book. I tried telling you why I wanted to read it instead.
What are you planning on reading in this month? Are you a mood reader like me? Let me know what you think about my choices?
Until next time keep reading.

August 26th-31st books I read

This was a slow reading week. I was very busy doing other things so I was only able to finish two books this week. Spencer W. Kimball was a book  at I started back in June. I am trying to read church history books about 30 minutes every day. I am enjoying learning about past prophets from my church. President Kimball was the Prophet when I became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints back in 1975. I gave it 4 stars. It is hard to rate biographies. It was a four not because of the content but because the words were in brown ink and it was a little hard to see them to read. This book had 427 pages.
This is the other book I was to get read this week. I actually listened to this on audio while I was doing other things around the house. It is a collection of four short stories. I gave it 3 stars. This book had 930 pages.

Here are the stats for the month of August.
I read/listened to 21 books which totaled 6,682 pages.
8 by female authors, 9 by male authors, 4 by both or many
I read 3 middle grade, 2 horror, 3 young adult, 2 fantasy, 2 short stories, 2 mystery, 2 history, 3 fiction, 1 romance, and 1 non-fiction.
8 books were read physically, 11 were audio books and 2 e-books
6 were 3 stars; 2 were 3.5 stars; 11 were 4 stars; 1 was 4.5 stars and 1 was 5 star.
As you can see I really did have a good month in books I chose I to read. I do want to bring up my physical reads to match my audio or reduce my audios to match my physical. I want them to be more even. Let me know what you have read for the month of August.
Also I did the N.E.W.T.s readathon and I made my Career of Aurologist.
Until next time keep reading.

September 17th most anticipated books

Another post on books I am looking forward to either purchase or read. September 17th there is only book being released that I am looking forward to. I have read one other of Amy Stewart's book from this series. I really enjoyed it and still need to read the rest of the series but this is her newest from the series. This series is based off a real woman in the early 1900's. Now onto what this book is about.
It is the spring of 1917 and change is in the air. American women have done something remarkable: they've banded together to create military-style training camps for women who want to serve. These so-called National Service Schools prove irresistible to the Kopp sisters, who leave their farm in New Jersey to join up. When an accident befalls the matron, Constance reluctantly agrees to oversee the camp---much to the alarm of the Kopps' tent-mate, the real-life Beulah Binford, who is seeking refuge from her scandalous past under the cover of a false identity. Will she be denied a second chance? And after notoriety, can a woman's life ever be her own again?

One doesn't have to read these books in order because Amy does a good job about telling you things that have happen in the book before. I would recommend that you do read them in order though so I have to read the other three books first before I can pick this one up.
Hope you are enjoying day and remember keep reading.

Book Unhaul

Here is another book unhaul. There isn't really a reason for unhauling these books except that I am running out of room on my bookshelves. I will not be rereading these books anytime soon so I have finally decided to bit the bullet and let them go. Some books are already gone because Mike's family went through them before I was able to take the photo. I have a total of 16 books that are leaving the home front and finding a new home.
The books not picture are Rilla of Ingleside by: L.M. Montgomery; this book is going to Mike's Great Niece.
Pictures of hollis woods by: Patricia Reilly Giff this one went to Mike's sister.
The Good Girl by: Mary Kubica went to Mike's niece
The Husband's Secret by: Liane Moriarty went to Mike's sister
America's Hidden History by: Kenneth C. Davis went to Mike's Great Nephew.
This following book just didn't make it into the photo because I put it somewhere else and not with my stack. and that book is The Star-Spangled Banner by: Neil H. Swanson.
You will notice that most of these books are history based. I really enjoy history and was saving these to help the boys out for school. First of all the boys don't like history and second they go to the computer for there information.
I think you can see the other books fairly well. I hate to see them go but it was time especially since I have been bringing in quite a lot of new to me books to add tom my collection. I always try to give them to people I know first before taking them somewhere else. Just in case you can't see the titles very well I will quickly list the books below.
American History Revised by: Seymour Morris, Jr
Being George Washington by: Glenn Beck (I have two of these)
Bedside book of Bad Girls Outlaw women of the American West by: Michael Rutter
Don't Know Much About The Civil War by: Kenneth C. Davis
Revenge of the Aztecs A Story of 1920's Hollywood by: Susan Beth Pfeffer
The Nest by: Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney
A Nation Rising By: Kenneth C. Davis
Don't Know Much About American History by: Kenneth C. Davis
Murder At Midnight by: Elliott Roosevelt
An American Plague by: Jim Murphy
I have read all these books and for the most really enjoyed the majority of them. The easy thing to do would be to add another book shelve but I don't think Mike will go for that at the moment, but maybe I can talk him into it. Who knows.
If you live by me and you want to try one or more out let me know. I will not ship them sorry to much money to do so.
Until next time keep reading.

August 19-25 books Read

Not my best reading week so far this month. I only read five books for a total of 1550 pages. Three were audio books, one was a e-book and one physical. The good news is that they were all four star reads. Three of the books were written by male authors and two by female authors. Now onto the books. Murder At Midnight is a mystery story and less than 250 pages. I read this book physically. This book was read for the prompt Astronomy in reading a book with the word "night" on the cover. Killing November was used for the prompt Arithmancy to read a book over 350 pages and this book was 404 pages. This was also a mystery story. This book I listened to on Audio. I don't like telling people about mystery stories because I feel you need to go into these types of books with as little information as possible. As I said before all the books I read this week were 4 stars so I will recommend that you read them all.
A Summer Escape and Strawberry Cake at the Cosy Kettle is an e-book that I received from NetGalley to review. I have that review up if you want to see it. This book was used in the prompt Charms to read a book with a gorgeous cover.
This book was another audio book. I have been wanting to read this book since I saw it at Barnes and Noble. I didn't buy this book because there were other books I wanted more. I do enjoy this author because he does a great job writing about our history. He goes through all the years of the pioneers even starting from the very beginning. He talks about their struggles and their successes. If you enjoy history like I do I would recommend that you pick up this book. Not used for the N.E.W.T.s.
I finally finished this trilogy. Mike recommended this series to me a while back and I finally finished it. Ted Dekker's book are about religion and he does a good job. This isn't the only series that Mike recommends that I read from him. This series deals with a family and each book is based on one member per book. The first book is based on the father who goes through trials like Job. The book is about the father's mother-in-law and the third is about the wife of the father. I would recommend the series because they really aren't all that religious based. They are really good. This book was used for the prompt Transfiguration for reading a book that is not the first in a series.

I hope you give these a books a try and let me know what you think of them.
Until next time keep reading.

This is a very cute book. I had a great time reading this book. I gave it 4 stars.
This book is about a middle age woman who just bought a bookstore and a little café in a small in England. One day she goes home early, to Oxford, to find out that her husband of 20 years is involved with one of his waitress.
She leaves him temporarily to clear her head and figure out what she is going to do. Mean while she gets involved in the charter day activities to become more active in the town. She has some really neat ideas and is getting to know the people in this small town. She is staying with a fellow shop owner who has her son and grandson living her also.
Like I said it was a joy to read and is also a quick read. I hope you pick up this book and find out what she decides to do with her husband and the fun things she has planned for the charter days.

September 10th most anticipated releases

Here is the next set of books I am looking forward to. So let's talk about them.
This is the third book in the series.
Theo Stein-Meyer loves being part of the Magic Misfits. Armed with his trusty violin bow, he completes the team with his levitation skills, unflappable calm, and proper manners. But when a girl named Emily begins to spend time with the group, Theo is surprisingly drawn to her. She seems to understand the pull he feels between music and magic, between family and friends.
Then a famous ventriloquist arrives in town, and the Misfits are sure he (and his creepy dummy) are up to no good. With their mentor, Mr. Vernon, suddenly called away and tension simmering among the friends, can they come together to stop another member of the Villainous Emerald Ring?
It's time for Theo to make a choice about where-and with whom-he belongs.
This is the last book in this series.
Audrey Rose Wadsworth and Thomas Cresswell have landed in America, a bold, brash land unlike the genteel streets of London. But like London, the city of Chicago hides its dark secrets well. When the two attend the spectacular World's Fair, they find the once-in-a-lifetime event tainted with reports of missing people and unsolved murders.
Determined to help, Audrey Rose and Thomas begin their investigations, only to find themselves facing a serial killer unlike any they've encountered before. Identifying him is one thing, but capturing him-and getting dangerously lost in the infamous Murder Hotel he constructed as a terrifying torture device-is another.
Will Audrey Rose and Thomas see their last mystery to the end-together and in love-or will their fortunes finally run out when their most depraved adversary makes one final, devastating kill?
In the early 1900s, a young woman embarks on a fantastical journey of self-discovery after finding a mysterious book in this captivating and lyrical debut.
In a sprawling mansion filled with peculiar treasures, January Scaller is a curiosity herself. As the ward of the wealthy Mr. Locke, she feels little different from the artifacts that decorate the halls: carefully maintained, largely ignored, and utterly out of place.
Then she finds a strange book. A book that carries the scent of other worlds, and tells a tale of secret doors, of love, adventure and danger. Each page turn reveals impossible truths about the world and January discovers a story increasingly entwined with her own.
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis's parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents---telekinesis and telepathy---who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris and ten-year-old Avery Dixon. As each new victim disappears to Back Half, Luke becomes more and more desperate to get out and get help. But no one has ever escaped from the Institute.

When the van door slammed on Offred's future at the end of The Handmaid's Tale, readers had no way of telling what lay ahead for her---freedom, prison or death. With The Testaments, the wait is over, Margaret Atwood's sequel picks up the story fifteen years after Offred stepped into the unknown, with the explosive testaments of three female narrators from Gilead.
Brought up by unfriendly, ossifying nuns, ancient retainers and countless skeletons, Gideon is ready to abandon a life of servitude and an afterlife as a reanimated corpse. But her childhood nemesis won't set her free without a service. Harrowhark Nonagesimus, Reverend Daughter of the Ninth House and bone witch extraordinaire, has been summoned into action. The Emperor has invited the heirs to each of his loyal Houses to a deadly trial of wits and skill. If Harrowhark succeeds, she will be become an immortal, all-powerful servant of the Resurrection. But no necromancer can ascend without their cavalier. Without Gideon's sword, Harrow will fail, and the Ninth House will die. Of course, some thongs are better left dead.
Two friends. One fake dating scheme. What could possibly go wrong?
Frank Li has two names. There's Frank Li, his American name. Then there's Sung-Min Li, his Korean name. No one uses his Korean name, not even his parents. Frank barely speaks any Korean. He was born and raised in Southern California.
Even so, his parents still expect him to end up with a nice Korean girl- which is a problem, since Frank is finally dating the girl of his dreams: Brit Means. Brit, who is funny and nerdy just like him. Brit, who makes him laugh like no one else. Brit... who is white.
As Frank falls in love for the very first time, he's forced to confront the fact that while his parents sacrificed everything to raise him in the land of opportunity, their traditional expectations don't leave a lot of room for him to be a regular American teen. Desperate to be with Brit without his parents finding out, Frank turns to a family friend, Joy Song, who is in a similar bind. Together, they come up with a plan to help each other and keep their parents off their backs. Frank thinks he's found the solution to all his problems, but when life throws him a curveball, he's left wondering whether he even really knew anything about love-or himself-at all.

Don't these sound fun and exciting to read. I hope this helps you find a new favorite. Until next time keep reading.

She's read every book in his library, has an impressive knowledge of the world's most sought-after relics, and has all the ambition in the world. What she doesn't have is her father's permission. That honor goes to her father's nineteen-year-old protégé-and once-upon-a-time love of Theodora's life-Huck Gallagher, while Theodora is left to sit alone in her hotel in Istanbul.
Until Huck arrives from an expedition without her father and enlists Theodora's help in rescuing him. Armed with her father's travel journal, the reluctant duo learns that her father had been digging up information on a legendary and magical ring that once belonged to Vlad the Impaler-more widely known as Dracula-and that it just must be the key to finding him.
Journeying into Romania, Theodora and Huck embark on a captivating adventure through Gothic villages and dark castles in the misty Carpathian Mountains to recover the notorious ring. But they aren't the only ones who are searching for it. A secretive and dangerous occult society with a powerful link to Vlad the Impaler himself is hunting for it, too. And they will go to any lengths-including murder-to possess it.

Don't these books sound interesting. I sure do and can't wait to read them. I hope this helps you find your next read. Until next time keep reading.
