Lady Midnight Review
I am not sure how I want to write this review. It took me a long time to read this book. It wasn't because it was almost 700 pages but because it didn't hold my interest.
I liked her Mortal Instrument Series a lot more. I know I am one of the few who. This book talks about Emma and Julian which you hear about near the end of the Mortal Instrument Series.
Emma and Julien are parabatai. They have been together since they were young; in fact they grew up together. Emma's parent are killed and she doesn't know who killed and she is searching for their killer. Julien ends up raising his younger brothers and sisters. There are killings happening in The L.A area and they are trying to figure out who is doing it. Emma is sure it is related to her parents murder, which happened five years earlier. The book finally gets interesting to me about 500 pages in. There at a lot of twist and turns and things do flash back to the Mortal Instrument series so you do need to read it to understand this book. I would say go ahead and read it because I am one of the few who really didn't get into it but will probably the second book because I need to know how things ends. I can't go into to much detail because it will give it away.
